Yep, thought the same.
Not even any team news from the club!
Guess they may be feeling the same eh.

The board is dead at the moment, far too many people thinking everything is hunky dory at the club far too many accepting mid table mediocrity as a form of achievement and far too few clubs between us and relegation as well as far too few goals scored.

I agree with

I may expect mid table/survival but I certainly don't think that's what we should aspire to

Too many people claiming lower mid table will be achiievent when actually given our resources it is underachieving.

The club has done a really good job of dumbing down expectations but in the long run in mat backfire
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

I saw Cookie in town earlier. I was too apathetic to say anything but 'alright mate' to him.

Sorry but mid table mediocrity is an achievement this season, survival is an achievement, gives us a platform to build on to make sure we never return to the basement again. However now we've had a whiff of the playoffs some are demanding more more more. Given the state of our finances a higher mid table finish is the best thing that can happen to us. Would be a successful season, would give the fans hope enough to keep coming back and it wouldn't break our financial situation to achieve. Better that than trying to bust the bank just to get a part shot at the playoffs and risk us for future seasons.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

I am in a can't be bothered mood at the moment with the board and to an extent Town, I have had to miss a couple of home games due to a house move but i'm looking forward to Saturday even if I don't feel that excited about it at the moment. I have just had some good news regarding my nine year old son who has come home from school today with a letter from the Chesterfield academy wanting him to go for a trial. I am very happy about this as Notts county and Forest have been sniffing around but obviously Chesterfield is where I want him to be.

I thought this Tweet from the Club yesterday just about sums things up:

“@ChesterfieldFC: The response to the free fans' forum event on Mon, Dec 1 has been disappointing so far. Please spread the word! Info: http://tinyurl.com/qa68uqg”

Don't start spreading rumours like that Radford will want some
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

It isn't all that thrilling with no Cook, Turner or even Richardson to quiz.

I'll have to spice it up a bit. To be fair I have lost interest.

Given our last visit to this league midtable mediocrity is what the majority would have taken...only our start to the season raised expectations, since our form has dropped off again expectations have and so midtable mediocrity is acceptable to most....also the club said it was consolidation this season then maybe a push next yr so that may have something to do with it......

Also the return of rpl as a cross dresser has lowered the standards more possibly.

all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Rpl being allowed to post on this board as a female is absolutely pathetic, it will slowly kill the messageboard.

Is it apathy we are experiencing or are we just seeing a period without the extremes that are so often expressed. We win a couple and we are candidates to make the playoffs under a fantastic, young manager and are definitely ready for that push on for Championship football. We lose a couple and we are going to be facing a relegation dog fight under a manager who is messing about with the team and appears devoid of ideas for a plan b. Is it fair to see we have a certain tendency for knee jerk reaction???
