Like we did at your place last year in our cup final?

Would it be fair to say you had more fans at our ground, than you did in your own ground last night?

You only came to see the spireites.
A new hope.

It wouldn't only be fair, it would be a fact.

No. It was more than that. The whole end, minus the front row and barely any unused tickets.

I didn't know the prices but I didn't expect to see that many when I looked in the paper. Would have guessed at 1400.

Thats bad for a league club in the first round of the cup, whichever way you look at it.
A new hope.

It's not great obviously but at least half of league two wouldn't have got any more.

Even when it's priced like a JPT game? Granted the likes of Accrington and Dagenham wouldn't expect 2000 fans.....maybe it's I terms of those 2 clubs that we need to view are little yellow friends
A new hope.

Far be it for me to defend them it was a game against Concord Rangers that clashed with an England v Scotland game. Accrington, for example, had fewer than a thousand home fans.

There having some league games at 7 quid an adult!! That really is trying to play the long game. Reduce prices from say 21 t 7 means they are going to have to get 3 times as many in to break even (with the additional add on sales of beer/pop/crisps etc)on what they would normally get through the turnstile. Assuming they get about 700 paying customers will they get another 1400 in given how they are playing, I doubt it

I think it's more a case of reducing their deficit than debt, 'Ern'.

Or trying to, at least.

From what my Mansfield mates tell me Comedy Radford slashed the budget last January insisting his club stand on it's own two and a half thousand pairs of feet. Meanwhile the five, perhaps six million owed to One Call (apparently they're a year behind in terms of revealing financial results) is frozen pending, well, some sort of minor miracle, I guess. Problem is he's still seeking an attendance break-even figure of three-eight, well over a thousand more than current levels and, given their meagre fanbase, a number I'd suggest they've rarely achieved over the last few decades.

I'm concerned about our debts and even more concerned that the CEO on whose watch they've multiplied seems to be beyond reproach. However I'm not sure our little neighbours are an example to follow when it comes to balancing the books.

Poorly worded initial post from me etc agreed

seeing as how theyre down to less than 2 thou, surely someone could roam the stands with a clipboard and ask each individual what inducement they'd need to keep showing up?
