3.1m Krone is apparently equal to £330,400.87...

Brann has signed a striker, Marcus Pedersen (on loan at Barnsley last season) , don't think they are after another.

Sale of Cooper = Clucas, Fagan, Ryan extension.

Could turn out to be terrific business.

And by the way, how long before deals like this mean Cook should be tied down on a longer contract?

Will this mean Armand goes out on loan for a month or so?
A new hope.

So around 30,000 euros will do it?
A new hope.

I assumed if the 3 was supposed to be a Euro sign that makes it 100,000 not 30,000 :)

Can't see us splashing anywhere near 80k on a player out of contract in October?

If the player says he wants to leave the only choice they have is if they want some money for him or not. They don't have the luxury of setting a figure.

But, if we sign him for a free in October, we won't be able to play him till January, due to FIFA's stupid ruling about transfer windows.

Not much of a bargaining chip on their part though.

They still lose him in October either way.

It's enough for a buying club to want to pay a nominal fee but not enough to get anything substantial from anyone. Am I right in thinking he can sign a pre contract with anyone he likes right away? Which means that they don't have long to thrash out a suitable deal.

"We'll give you 25k?"

"No"

"Ok, we'll call the players representative and offer him terms as a free agent and save our 25k/increase the signing on fee."

I think they are struggling to keep hold of him, hence the interest here is Chesterfield FC's part, offer them a deal now, otherwise he will go elsewhere in January.

Accept whatever club offers them now, or risk losing him for nowt in Jan.

He could of course sign for Chesterfield now, and we loan him back to St Patricks till the end of their season (October) although what benefit this has to CFC I wouldn't know.

Loan him back and lose him until January...

Last time we did that we ended up going on a terrible run - I'm happy with his current contract

Saw him play twice at Sincil Bank five or six seasons ago, City had high hopes of him but he didn't impress in a poor Lincoln side and Chris Sutton didn't rate him and soon got rid. IMO he's certainly no better than what we've got - and despite a `Golden Boot' award has never really been what you'd call a `prolific' number 9. Why would Cook want him other than as cover for Doyle?

Interesting because someone told me in the pub 2 weeks ago that he'd be the next signing. "You heard it here first" he said - I'm glad I didn't post anything on here at the time

Given the reports of PCs reported interest I'm not surprised he attracted the "in the know brigade"

Disappointed nothing happened, but as he chose to stay in his domestic league he must be well and truly over hyped
