True and as pleased as i am for Rowett (who did a cracking job with no money) Wigan have a multi millionaire owner who invests in the club.....Birmingham haven't! So i think Whelan may be after a 'bigger' more established name than Cook particularly after Rosler failed having had a similar pedigree with Brentford .

Whelan likes his teams to play fast flowing football so PC may be on his list.....he's also not afraid to appoint an unproven manager....martinez wasn't a big name when he got the gig....

I'd guess Whelan already has someone lined up, hence the sacking.

Going back to what he knows best. Jewel was in charge when they beat Sheff Utd (I think) to stay up in the final match of the season, he was a spent force after that. Completely drained of any confidence.
Been out for a good while now so he's had plenty of time to recharge his batteries.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Jewel was sat near me at our recent Youth team match, having the crack with PC's relatives.

Now the MP for Wigan has got involved urging Whelan not to appoint Mackay because of the stuff that went on at Cardiff

Mackay, as expected, named Wigan manager..now he's back in the game will the FA punish him for his appropriate texting about women?

Just shows how important Suerez was.

At the end of the day there is only him and Sturridge missing. Stirling looks lost without one or the other of those two.

Considering the money he has splashed, he has to be in danger

Mark Yates axed by Cheltenham, not long after taking apart a Swindon side who taught us a footballing lesson just a week or two prior. Funny old game
