That's a lot of money for a aspirational L1 side

Will stick like the Stadium of Light

You are wrong Newbold,

It is a six figure sum EACH season, for five seasons.

Sorry to disappoint but here are the details :-

http://www.thestar.c...sseal-1-6966629

Quote "His company, who employ more than 1,650 people and increased sales to more than £146 million last year, are paying a significant six-figure sum for each of the next five seasons to have the Millers’ home renamed ‘The AESSEAL New York Stadium’.

You really ought to check that your facts are correct before posting.

Came back on here just in time to see you drop down into the relegation zone, make yourselves comfortable!
I just don't know what I'm supposed to be

The primary reason that I am delighted to associate the AESSEAL brand with Rotherham United is that the current management team of the football club has built a beautiful product. The stadium itself, and in particular the corporate social responsibility aspects of the club, are truly excellent

– Chris Rea, Group Managing Director and Founder of AESSEAL

Sound like. Similar deal to ours then, which (originally agreed with B2Net) was worth £1m over 10 seasons.

Very amusing u-turn given the moral high ground their chairman claimed about this when the ground opened. I think this clearly shows that they were always wanting to sell naming rights but, quite reasonably, no business wanted to be associated with a club (and town) with no morals.

Maybe Evans is now lining up a £2m bid for Doyle ...
