Mealy mouthed interview on RS, nearly as bad a Clough

Apparently Raglan's pass to Doyle was a punt down the middle (said it twice in a 3 minute interview

https://audioboom.co...er-danny-wilson

Well Danny for all the hype I've seen at least 4 better teams at the Proact this season

I don't think he ever comes across all that well in interviews.

Disagree.... very accurate synopsis, gave credit to chesterfield. They were a few punts. Cant fault the interview

David Beckham made a career out of 40 yard plus pin point punts

They were very fortunate not to have had a pasting, which I'm sure he was loathe the mention. A header by Doyle straight at the keeper; a 4 against 1 break when Doyle failed to find Clucas with what should have been a simple pass. They had no shots till half through the second half.

Look lads its like this
......

We have a manager who is not to proud or stubborn or even just to thick to admit that when his team gets beat by a better team to admit....we have been spoilt by this....Don't judge danny or any other manager by PC's high standards, he is proving to be a star in the making.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

He also said .....

"Overall we can't be too disappointed with the performance, but the two goals we conceded cost us the game."

Well, yes Danny ! .... The two goals DID cost you the game .... Thank you for your insightful and considered view .... How perceptive of you !

All those that wanted Wilson as manager. Would you swap PC for him?

Obviously not, but if Danny Wilson was manager of chesterfield would you swop him for PC. (Not knowing what you know now)

Unfortunately our Danny for CFC boss ship sailed a long time ago. Shame as I would have like to have seen it.

Good question! If and when Cookie moves on, and if Danny was available he would be first on my list, but only if Cookie moves on! But ATM I'm with what we have as we are developing quite nicely under PC's governorship.

Danny's time was in 2000. Interviewed for the job but Darren Brown didn't want him.

Cook wont be here for the rest of his career. Wilson won't be at Barnsley for the rest of his career, so who knows? I think he's a decent manager and wouldn't mind him coming back at some future point

Thats right, the best Barnsley could ever have hoped for today was a draw. Great workrate and team performance today to halt the "slide". 26 points from 28 games shouldn't be a problem

I have always seen Wilson as a special player for us but he certainly doesn't deserve it so my life all time 11 will no longer include him 😬
