Been down to the England U17 game tonight and some type of building work is happening in the east stand. viewing from the west stand the rear wall section directly to the left of the tv gantry has been knocked through it seems and there's some polythene screening and access platforms up there.
Anyone any idea what's happening?

Hopefully we're putting some boxes in, about time, but it might just be for airconditioning!

I'm no construction specialist but it's a chuffing big hole for air conditioning!

It's probably the thing about the players mrs needing somewhere to go mate.

Don't forget there was one players mrs a while ago said she had more right being in the overcrowded bars in the west stand than the average supporter because her husband was a Cfc player.

If it's in the East Stand, who do you really think has paid for this? and a smart investment it is too.

They will be used as offices in the week and as hospitality on matchdays. Someone in the family is renting one for his business.

Players wives/families have already been moved to the East Stand this season, although obviously they don't have a room that overlooks the pitch currently.

Apparently someone who hires a room down there wants to turn it into an executive box. The cost is being covered half by the Trust and half by the guywanting the box. Revenue from that box - so I'm told - will be split 50/50 between the guy and the club. Something like that anyway. I asked if it would get in the way of the TV gantry and was told it wouldn't. Sorry if someone else has replied to this lower down but I couldn't be bothered to scoll down and read them all

Which bars? This season the bars in the Legends and VP lounges have been near empty 25 mins after the game.

Might have something to do with the player's families being in the East stand!!!
