There's an interview with him on Player (where he keeps doing some strange things with his tongue(!) so I guess they were keeping him back as an exclusive to claim us Player subscribers are getting added value.

Stating that he is somehow the odd one out among 92 managers for not answering questions to your specific requirements is nonsense. Just another reason to have a pop though eh!

I don't think he is awkward, however I have to admit a great deal of his interviews amount to him saying nothing at all about us. Instead there are lots of wide references to football in general - I've got to be honest I find it difficult to sit through an entire one.

Another reason? What else have I said?
For whose benefit does he get interviewed? If you only listen to Peak for CFC info, as I'm sure plenty do, how do you think his response to perfectly normal questions about injuries would come across?

People in general, not you necessarily.

Completely the wrong question to ask. The question should be, Why is he being interviewed? And the primary reason will never be for your benefit. The reasons will generally be to generate traffic to the website, maintain/improve audience figures so they can charge for advertising. And to do that the interviewer needs to be asking the right questions to generate interest in you, the audience.

Whilst what you say may be true, that's not what is going through PC's head when he's being interviewed. He's addressing the supporters of CFC. Not Tom. Not Peak FM. I don't think for a minute he's got an issue with either him or the media in general which puzzles me about his irritability at run of the mill questions.
Do you really think answers like the one he gave reflect well on him and CFC in general? I personally don't and don't know what he seeks to gain other than showing them who's 'the boss'.

For what it's worth Tim I 100% agree with you. There are questions he's every right to dodge, though as you rightly say these are run of the mill questions and I for one get a bit narked that he doesn't answer such questions. For instance I would like to know how our injured players are doing and how long they are likely to be out (I'm not going to hold him to it, it just would be nice to have some sort of idea), instead of just quickly grouping them all together and saying they're all out of today’s games, right that's dealt with that now move on as I won't be answering any more on the subject. He seems to answer most questions as trying to dodging a bullet when in fact there wasn’t one fired in the first place! Either that or else he’s naturally sarcastic, lol

I like Cook. Just think he doesn't do himself any favours with this.
