Respect to those fans who made the trip and were a sporting credit to your club.
Good luck for next season. If you can get the off the field stuff sorted out you'll be in for a good one.

Good luck for next season & thanks for the kind remarks. No need for us to be unpleasant to each other is there! Although I'll still be singing 'build a bonfire'!

he was brilliant for us at first clearly...and put loads of effort into our games when he got naff all feed too
him not playing doesnt seem to be a player nor manager decision so he cant be criticised for that

The OP sent his respect to the supporters who made the trip and were a credit to the club. I second that, although I'm guessing you weren't one of them.
If you had been there you would have noted the generous reception from the Spireites fans when the Blades came onto the field, as well as the applause from all sides of the ground when the MC wished Town a swift return to the Third Division.
Some of the 597 were wearing red and white, by the way. Amazingly, fans of both clubs occupied the same section of the ground without behaving like schoolkids in the playground, and there was no falling out and/or fighting! Imagine adults treating a football match as a piece of enjoyable recreation rather than a war, and that was what the atmosphere was like at the game.
As for the match, Town were great, considering. United's heads were elsewhere but that didn't detract from a positive, aggressive performance in which Dennis and Nolan particularly impressed. Get shut of the Dave Allen clique and there's still plenty of hope for the club yet.

Thanks for the report animal, very encouraging to read although I can't imagine that happening against Mansfield.

Excellent post. True "fans" will give credit to the opposition - and they've done it in style. Very good day out. I suspect had the tables been the other way, things might have been different. There'll always be a perceived pecking order in size etc... and it was our cup final etc... Ultimately I felt the Sheff fans were genuinely somewhat sympathetic ( they would be given their success) about our plight, from the people I've spoken to. Good luck Sheff U . Our time will come.

Congratulations on promotion. 100 points takes some doing.
All the best for next season in the Championship.
