Ebanks-Blake, Armand Gnandulliet, Mani Diskekgkgkfkgkkg, Byron Harrison... Kevin Davies. Be afraid League 1, be very afraid.

Chill your beans, I'm perfectly aware of Davies' abilities a few years back in the Prem and before that too, I rated him highly as a player and I'm sure he's still a consummate professional. However that doesn't really affect how he is now - 38 years old and a striker with a rather unflattering strike record for Preston at the level we play at. We've got Armand, Mani, Harrison and Ebanks-Blake, that doesn't scream goals to me so to add someone else to the equation with a recent poor scoring record would be crazy. Is he suddenly going to get better? He's on a natural downward spiral as anyone at his age would be, in fact he's done well to stay playing regular football for as long as he has.

Don't know why I'm discussing this really, it's not gonna happen as he isn't the answer to our problems.

A perfect summary of Davies past, present and probable future.

Completely agree regarding the whole Davies debate.

In relation to Ebanks-Blake, I got talking to o lorry driver at work on Thursday who is a regular at Molineaux and he couldn't speak highly enough of him. In his words, he sometimes appeared to carry a little bit of weight but was as strong as an Ox and was easily the most natural goal scorer they'd had for a number of years ( I realise that doesn't say a great deal!!).

He didn't, however, speak quite as highly of Saunders.

I guess Ebanks-Blake's opinion of Saunders must be good because that is obviously why he has signed for us. Positive until proved otherwise - time will tell.

From that clip and the other compilations he looks powerful, and he's not bothered which foot he uses, just like Jack.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on
