After a season waiting for the inevitable to happen it now feels a massive shock that he has been sacked having guided LCFC to 14th in the Premiership. But then again the weird is more the norm in the modern day game.

Sacked due to "Fundamental differences" with the Thai owners. Remind me which country the team went to recently, and certain players disgraced themselves?

Or is this a smokescreen, on the same day that Guus Hiddink resigns from the Dutch national team?

If they'd acted quicker, maybe Phil Neville could have got the gig... but only if 'Arry Redknapp's knee is still dicky. I can see Big Sam turning this one down, and John Carver - you know, the best coach in the premier league - back in work ;)

Allardyce favourite, then Lennon, with others including Dyche and Cambiasso third in the betting at this moment. Lestoh-supporting mates of mine very much favour Cambiasso.
These go to eleven.

Apparently sacked by phone with no meeting and not aware of any "fundamental differences"!

Sky sources: #lcfc sacked Pearson by phone yesterday. He wasn't aware of "breakdown in relations" with board. Compensation yet to be agreed.

Pearson would have been a cracking appointment for us. I guess he'll be going to a Championship side, sooner or later, or a monied League One outfit.
These go to eleven.

I'd have taken Pearson in a shot here as manager.

That's a pretty fair appraisal.

think you letting your dislike for the man cloud your judgment ( I don't really like him my self ) but his results speak for themselves keeping them in prem was no mean feat . and you can hardly blame a manager for the way a player behaves off the pitch

You're surely on the wind up??

I don't like Pearson one bit but to have a season ( well, last quarter ) like he did and to get the axe because some of your players couldn't behave themselves on an end of season tour seems ludicrous. Leicester were totally dead and buried and what he achieved was fantastic for the club.

Yes he has a responsibility for the conduct of his players but unless he was taking the foil wrapper off for them and settling the bill afterwards, it seems harsh for him to lose his job.

Totally agree. The game as a whole is far better off without such an arrogant, self - regarding individual IMO.

Or $h1t on your own doorstep, never liked Pearson myself and while he must take credit for that run of form that kept them up, he equally must be questioned for the crappiness that left them in that position In the first place.
