Cracking game tonight. Won 7-2 and free admission for all the 55 spectators! The development squad is miles better than they were last year, there are some cracking players there, several of them look like they could step straight into the FL despite Us Being told they are mainly 16 year olds. Good to see Sean O'Neill on the coaching staff too. No team sheets or P A to confirm the teams but there were several stand out performances, I was impressed by the number 8 who seemed to be called Jack and there were a lot of good goals from Montele Okoro (2) ( ex Brentford and Millwall), Dexter Atkinson (2), Connor White, Edward Watts and a player called Romario Martin according to his giggling team mates on the touch line so I'm not certain that's his real name!

We're setting a very high standard this year, the first three games have been won by 3, 4 and then 5 goal margins. I bet Clipstone are quaking in their boots! It'll be interesting to see how the YT compare to the DS tonight; they'll have to go some to beat last night's performance!

Solid 2-2 draw at Clipstone tonight for the youth team, we led twice only to be pegged back with a last minute equaliser for the home team. Excellent free kick opener from Dion Donahue who played the full game with the second scored by George Milner. Crowd of 92 including Spireite legend Steve Williams who lives locally. Apart from Donahue and Myles Wright the team composed first and second year youth players and they were unlucky not to beat a team which won the NCEL D1 last season. A good workout for both teams and there was even a decent programme produced
