Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July - Derbyshire vs Glamorgan (LV= County Championship)

Expected signing and a good fit for us. In hindsight he should never have left.

Based on my experiences of him and what i sort of guess from his previous stint with us i think he rubbed a few up the wrong way and basically got slinged out. Fair to say he was a massive tool the two games we played against Swarkestone when he played a few years ago...especially the one at their place when he refused to bowl properly for some reason and got bottom on as his rubbish spin got carted into the adjacent corn field a couple of times and then to top his day off he was out third ball!

He's grown up now I think - it just took a while longer than it normally does!

Yep...think that seems to be the case. His brother looked a good player as a kid, not sure how he's come on but must be doing something right to be in the Academy squad.

I straight away think of Mark and Lard's Fat Harry White.

Brilliant stuff.

I know it is a money spinner but it would be nice not to have to share Queens Park with them Yorkies

Not for a good few years. Good value though if you can get the hours in here and in Derby.

If you live more than 20 miles from the County Ground at Derby (according to the AA route finder) you get a discount and a further discount if you buy before 1st Feb

Might need to be some warnings about walking to close to Queens Park on Sunday 12th July for the T20 match v Yorkshire....following on from us signing Guptill they've gone and signed Finch as overseas for most of the season and Glenn Maxwell to play as the 2nd overseas in the T20 games! Wouldnt fancy being a bowler that day!

Getting Guptill back for the first half of next season is terrific news.

Hopefully he'll form a strong opening partnership with Slater.

I think we'll be a strong side next season now - getting some more experience into Slater, Cotton and either of the keepers will only enhance what we've already got.

I'd love to get one and it be worthwhile but it simply won't be until retirement!

That was my justification for buying one

It is fantastic value, but that value is magnified by the very expensive pay on the day prices

If I had the cash to splash I'd cheerfully buy one anyway knowing the money is going to a good cause but I'm not in that position either.

Based on his current form for The Black Caps, that might not be as good news as it seems! Saw his dismissal in the early hours of this morning and it was a first ball howler!
