Well I'm shocked not!! The bloke didn't even know what the playing budget was at the start of the season. How this club is not in the black is beyond me, could a club our size be any more sucessful in the recent past and is still losing money.

My opinion stays the same. The people at the top who are lending money are lapping up the interest we are paying them and probably saying long may it continue whilst bank savings rates are poor. They probably know that the club is capable of paying them back but they don't want paying back just yet! ( while interest rates are low)

We were told at the last AGM that measures were being put in place to address huge losses.

We've seen ticket prices increase.

We receive a larger payment from the Football League for being in L1.

We've witnessed the highest average attendance since the Cox era.

We reached the fourth round of the FA Cup.

And of course we've sold two major assets for upwards of one-point five million pounds.

'Should be trading in the black'? 'Should be'?

Anything but a significant profit and/or reduction in the debt should see DA asking where the hell the money's going?!

"The club SHOULD be in the black?"

"The debt has been reduced to some extent following the sale of Eoin Doyle."

Chris stated that financial controls are now in place in all departments. This is something which has not happened in the past.

So the previous 3 years of CT tenure, no one knew what was being spent and where, and no one followed any losses.

Astonishing.

A new hope.

smoke screen.
Alan W had a perfectly sound system, accurate and transparent to the penny. It's a year since he went, so that's when they started to change the structure of the accounts.

Chris - for me, this hits the nail on the head...... And it also begs the question, if we didn't hadn't had the fortune of the above this season, what sort of a mess would we be in ?

This board should be retitled into what can we next criticise the club about, 4 defeats and its the team, players in and out, 2wins its back to the club. Most on here think they can do better (envy comes to mind).I've watched since 1960 and football wise there has only been a few seasons that have been better, we should applaud the organisation that has brought this, worts an all.

Dave Allen knows where the money is going. If he didn't then that would make him a fool. Hardly plausible!

this reminds me of Aspire 123s posting style in the last few months of Darren Browns tenure at saltergate.

Envy of whom, sorry ? Allen, Turner, the players?

Expressing concern as to how the club is being run and questioning why success on field doesnt seem to be matched by stability off is not, to me, envy, rather, concern about the clubs finances.

The two are linked and we all have a vested interest. We need to service the debt. The finances need to be order to do this.

Please clarify....
