Heard a whisper today that Robbie Blake has joined our coaching staff.

Dunno if it's on a part time, full time, formal or informal basis.

Apparently it was felt that (yet) another voice was needed.

Is this true? And if so, does anyone know any details?

We need something to eat into the massive profit we've made this year. Why not more coaching staff

At first I thought he was still only 30 and is Armand's replacement

Perhaps there is an incentive (eg, we get a PFA grant) for setting on apprentice coaches

(I have no idea by the way)

I think you'd find it would be Cook to Richardson to Carr to Nicholson to Nixon to Blake etc etc etc.................... :)

I know nowt, but a specialist striker coach would be progress. I doubt whether anyone would frown if Jack's name was in the frame.

can't believe that people still moan about having too many backroom staff

Cook obviously feels he needs the support and people he wants in certain jobs, we now have a much more professional style backroom set up with us already seeing rewards in terms of the players we have brought in and improved over the last few seasons

more moaning for moanings sake

And he has
@tomhilton6
Been asked about Robbie Blake this morning. He's currently with Chesterfield on an informal basis as he works towards his coaching badges.

Have to agree! Very decent striker in his day, working with our players on an informal basis.. So chances he's not even being paid, win win situation!
