However Town need to evolve beyond players of his limited and inconsistent talents.
All the best to the lad, though.

Maybe, but I am questioning Marcia's assertion that that was the motive behind a new contract. Just look at the timeline…
PC wants to discuss contracts with AG
AG and/or his agent stalls (same situation a la Ryan according PT
AG dropped from squad
AG out on load to the end of season
All this was massively hinted at during the podcast, suggesting compensation was not really a driving force.
But you maybe right, maybe we will get decent compensation especially if he does well at Oxford.
All in all not bad for an alleged "car crash footballer", a L1 contract a hefty transfer fee received, well done Armand

You said you wouldn't go to another away match if Nanndo started, so no excuses tomorrow you better be there, now that you've got your wish.

That's where I am. His talents don't unfortunately extend to creating opportunities for himself. Not sharp enough. I sincerely hope though that he proves us wrong.
He will of course have achieved 'legend' status in the Turner household. That goal at MK shaped the FA decision, made us a lot of cash, and possibly averted a sacking.

his goal in the cup, and a modest fee - we would have basically have covered his wages for his time here.

If playing a player you don't rate means you won't support your club don't bother coming back you're pathetic.

As maybe, but so?
Doesn't mean that is the reason we wanted to offer him a contract

Ok he might not have progressed like the management team (or us) would've liked but can anybody on this board name any other squad member we currently have that has a heart that matches his? We want the best cos we love our club, well can anybody say that he didn't give anything less than his upmost effort for our club?
Again. His progression may have been disappointing but the comments are disrespectful towards him.

Actually a little disrespectful to the management team as well, who picked him on a regular basis and were prepared to offer him a new contract

I was stating that in the current market I don't think we would get 100k for him. Look at what we got for Cooper and Doyle. Are you seriously saying you think a club would offer us 100k for him?
Perhaps you misunderstood the post. I wasn't saying he is crap I want to get rid of him. I was saying 100k would be such a good offer I would jump at it

Even if you forget his passion was his technical progression really that disappointing? The lad's still come a long way, it was always going to be a tall order for him to make the step up and he gave it all he had.
