Probably dont need to do it as everythings booked up for the Cov game by people taking their mums out! We tried weeks in advance to book Corporate and its full and Benno Spire tried to get Legends Lounge Hospitality for us which he says normally is fairly easy to sort a few weeks in advance and thats booked up as well!

I guess it does make you wonder why they've decided against it if you have an empty function room and a history of a successful event.

I wonder if the fact that there is a match the day before and also an evening function that will be a late finish might have something to do with it......

I have got no idea on this but is it possible the car boot sale makes the club more money than opening up for a meal would.

Still can't believe the petty moaning about this, we have many events at the proact, anyone who goes to them will tell you how well they are done, they make loads for the club yet some get all mardy about one meal not being done!

You've hit the nail on the head! The functions are expertly run, are top class and make loads for the club, so why not open for the BUSIEST eating out day of the year..it's not a moan, im just enquireing!

One very respected poster on here, Freelander, says that bookings are well down. If he says they are, they are.

Perhaps functions such as mothers day lunches dont make enough to make it worthwhile opening

Perhaps we have less bookings but make more from them with more of the Ruddock/Saunders type stuff
