You do wonder if the price of getting into the Premier League is worth it

The enemies of my upbringing; tough to feel sorry for them, or their owner.

It's good to see Newport doing so well and let's hope Wrexham can one day regain their league placing, but Cardiff? No.

Didn't they announce debts of around £80,000,000 before Vincent Tan and the premier league season?

How can you lose that amount of money when TV revenue is at least £60,000,000?

A new hope.

Russell slade has a tough job on his hands reducing that wage bill.....must be some big earners .....no wonder they wanted to nick doyle on the cheap......he may be back in league 1 sooner than he hoped though.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

That would be interesting then if both Cardiff and Millwall get relegated.

Cardiff won't go down. The bottom 3 look dead and buried, unless Milwall make changes quickly
Here we go again!

Amazing isn't it. They go to all that trouble to get to the PL and then they still can't turn a profit in the richest league in the world.

It doesn't matter though really does it? It's a bonus they're there in the first place, they haven't over spent and should be in a better position if/when they go back down. Haven't they used some of the money to invest in the academy and training facilities? It's the model we'd have to follow should championship football ever occur
Here we go again!

Agree, they have reached my benchmark of needing to win more than half their games to get 50 points. They are down. Sadly, Rotherham have made it.

Ernie, I've explained this before (as people on here keep claiming it). I won't go through it all again as it's a long and fairly involved answer, but suffice it to say that there's too much Anglo-Welsh precedence there, for grandiose ideas of demotion to an All-Welsh division.

That said, Cardiff could have been in the Welsh League (about 23 years back), but it never happened. I wouldn't wish some of their fans on Port Talbot Town or Airbus, in any event
