I get what you mean, though its funny in that you are praising him for making you feel safe when he has chased rival fans off their own enclosure - presumably making their fans feel unsafe!

They were aweful days.

No they weren't

Not half as dangerous going to games in the 70s as people are making out

Oh and the idea of some stupid brain dead skinhead, silver boots or not protecting me is laughable

If you was smart you got in the first carriage and you'd be passed the thick yorky pillocks before their brain and throwing arm had synchronised

90th minute last night....

Bruno Andrade latched on to a clearance from an Argyle corner and raced through to slot past Luke McCormick, a matter of seconds before the game ticked into second half stoppage time.

Shame. If only they'd left Drew back on the halfway line, that would not have happened.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

so he looked like someone with a small bottle of whisky in his pocket then?

He was a fat slob who bullied people half his age. Always thought he was "King of the Kop" but in fact was surrounded by sycophantic yobs who could hold their own in a scrap and made him appear better than he was. The real hard men at that time avoided him like the plague. I didn't like him and neither did genuine fans at that time.
