So did I, and so would my mate with a west stand ST who is currently touring Australia, sadly considered by Carson to be less important than Brian the Blade.

Perhaps ‘Brian the Blade’ (whoever the **** he is?) can be coaxed down to Proact?

He’s already got you mate’s money and he won’t be buying a pie an pint at a game when touring Aussie

I don't think the rest of us should be expected to care whether you like Radio Sheffield or not. You're getting your knickers in a twist over nothing.

All the things to worry about and he’s worrying about this?

Either he had newsworthy, factual information for Chesterfield fans or he didn't. My primary source is the website and it should for any announcement. I have zero affection for Radio Sheffield at any time of the day.

Will you be happy for Carson's successor to use that channel for discussions about 'rumours and possible happenings' in preference to the official site?

The major issue with that is your reliance on the website. It’s the LAST place I would look.

Despite doing a bit of work for them once upon a time (and then them deciding to stick with Geoff Mitchell despite my willingness to offer myself as CFC correspondent in his stead - Paul Walker didn’t really want to he admitted) I have a natural aversion to anything Sheffield being associated with Chesterfield. That said RS are probably giving us better coverage than we deserve which is about nothing.

Moondog,

For a guy who cannot wait to get out of Chesterfield, I am starting to get rather suspicious of the extent of Ashley's cooperation and his continued briefing of the media. When will Ashley be resigning as the Company Secretary and what does the future hold for him?

Perhaps Ashley is hoping that his recent efforts will have some bearing on how supporters will remember him and ease his own mind. Serious question, what would Ashley like to be remembered for?

The only thing I will remember him for is bringing our club to its knees and never accepting a single gram of responsibility for it.

In't it creating a vicious circle to keep asking him questions which feed his obvious attention seeking, though?

In total contrast to the Trust who seem to've got on with things as diligently yet quietly as those 'BB' members exposing this lot's shenanigans.

Anyway, Chris Rock used to do a set revolving around blokes bragging they 'Ain't never been to jail!'. Him pointing out you're not supposed to go to jail amidst customary expletives. Well I couldn't help remembering those lines upon reading Carson's quasi-boastful 'Nothing's emerged during the Trust's due diligence', recently.

Fair enough, Ashley. But the fact you think that's summat to celebrate tells us all we need to know about the last ten years...

Is this because he played for a Sheffield club?

Oh s**t! I've worked in Sheffield!!!
I've had enjoyable nights out there, I've also been to Bramall lane and Hillsborough. I only drove through there last week aswell.

I'm obviously too close to dee dah to be a Spireite. 😀

But you've been telling us for years that the club's financial accounts were as full of holes as a fishing net, and alleged that at one point a poster on here was actually visited buy two heavies who threatened his family if he revealed his knowledge. Now a due diligence has found nothing amiss.
Sounds like something to broadcast out loud to me, and to lead to questions about how many other rumours and half truths have been treated as gospel on here. And, even more interestingly, who was at the bottom of them?

Chris hasn't 'alleged' it. The person it happened to did. This person, who formerly posted on here, is a respected and well known individual who told me exactly what happened too.

You really are an odious, despicable two hat.
Do you really believe your own postings or do you just enjoy provoking reaction on this board ?
I know the person who was threatened and have nothing but respect for him and the detailed work he and others have done regarding the many scandals and wrong doings of the present board of the CFC.
