On the admin front, if he puts it into admin, he walks away, not a penny. Administrators would then liquidate the assets in way that raised most to pay them / give a tiny return to other creditors.

Yep. Posters have in the past suggested that Allen might make the highest offer to Administrators in order to buy it back for a fraction of it's book value. I am wondering what the situation might be if Allen didn't want it back. Without a bidding war, another investor like the Trust (or even somebody else) might get it even cheaper than the current price they are prepared to pay.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Or you might get bits of it. Someone else might want the ground, others the right to play in the (non)league. No guarantees unless he did a pre pack (agreed the stuff before putting in admin - which ought to be illegal but isnt...) but I think he is the biggest creditor who would lose out most so why would he do it?

Of more concern is that the current pandemic will have reminded people who are more risk averse just how easy it is to destroy a decent business through something that causes business to fall off a cliff - so it may have spooked funders into realising how fragile football club finances really are...

I hope the Trust takeover happens but I can’t see any normal lender releasing funds for this until they can see a clear income stream, TBH I thought it was unlikely they would get a loan before the Coronavirus epidemic. Who are the lenders? If they pull the plug then what are DA’s options?
1. He could lend the Trust the money himself with a private mortgage on the ground.
2. He could put the club into administration, but he is the main creditor.
3. He could give everything to the Trust and be altruistic.
4. He could find another buyer.

I wonder if we will hear from the 'Backer' on completion or will everything be done through the Trust's media.

I can imagine it will take a long time if 4 local councils are involved, irrespective of the Coronavirus epidemic. Hope it happens and DA doesn’t get fed up of waiting and sell to the first spiv that offers him a few bob more.

There's three obvious local councils - I wonder who is the fourth?

I wondered the same a few weeks ago when someone suggested that to me. Could it be DCC?

Thanks for that, forgot about Derbyshire Dale's I was in panic mode thinking it would be south Yorkshire.
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Thought it might have been the County Council but I suppose Derbyshire Dales is close geographically and economically

If so wonder if Matlock Town will demand equivalent financial support, especially in the current circumstances.......?

They've already raised over £5k out of £15k they need to get to next season direct from fans and are well enough run to survive at the level they are at...
