It's difficult for football clubs living in limbo at the moment, as it is for everyone. Realistically, though, the season is over. Let's not prolong the uncertainty. The current lockdown conditions may be eased after 12 weeks but some social distancing will doubtless be in place for months after that. It's difficult to imagine such gatherings as those drawn by theatres, cinemas and football grounds will be allowed. It might be that Prem League games can be played behind closed doors and televised but not for the rest of the clubs. For the lower leagues season 19/20 is done.

Made me smile and think they're trying to squirm out of getting relegated but when you carry on reading it's not actually a terrible idea.

1 thing I think would be an idea would be to use something similar to the 107% rule they used to use in F1 qualifying.

Teams like Chorley, southend and Bolton that have been poor and finished so far off the pace should still go down based on being a certain %age off of the survival line.

Although it's probably to late to implement something like this now, maybe it's something they could use in the future should the season have to end early again
Here we go again!

Not 100% fair on Bolton....they did have a points deduction to overcome and effectively no squad at the start of the season.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

Their fault (not fans) for over spending. They were going down anyway and expected it
