This one only lets me post on my phone and most of the features are no longer supported anyway.
Good idea 👍

You seem malcontented on this one so why not register to get it off the ground and then help shape the debate to your preference. If it turns out not to your expectations then you can just not post or ignore it completely

Drop in any time.
It's a forum that works properly. If folk move over, in time it will be more than a rival.

Political ranting will be firmly discouraged, Quaker.

Good luck with that. Politics is literally about life and everything within it, which includes football and Chesterfield FC.

...but it's fair to say the standard of debate involving polemicists on football forums is pretty low. In my experience, wearing your political colours on a forum is an invitation to trolls and bullies to misquote what you say and attribute opinions to you that you don't have. The consequence is that people quickly resort to abuse and the whole thing becomes ever more toxic.
Party politics can be discussed any time, anywhere, but, in my opinion, a football message board is not the place. Philosophical rambling is fine; political ranting is not.
Nobody will ask what your politics are on the forum, but you can take it as read that racists and other troublemakers will be given short shrift.

Such as the thread covering our friend in Ukraine.
Much more over on the 'Personal' section, but to paraphrase apologists and sycophants back in Saltergate days 'I y'don't like it, then don't go'...
