If the club would be debt free, what can DA possibly have first charge over? The two comments surely contradict each other

He would have meant when all of the purchase payments have been made

I can see the take-over is a major concern. Losing Martin Allen would be a huge concern. Chaos and further relegation would be a massive concern. But losing McAlinden, how small would be that beer? 6 goals in two seasons - we signed a centre back who scored 5 in one ...... perhaps we should re-assign him.

Cheltenham just sold Eisa - if they want McAlinden they now have the pockets to convince him.

There are other fish in the sea. Just sort one from the plastic. McAlinden will soon find The Promenade at Cheltenham leads to the High St, not the sea.

AC says he may be staying on as Company Secretary until the year end accounts are produced in September with him looking at a November AGM

Can't say you weren't warned...

Can you ask him where this leaves the people who have applied to be his assistant. Will they now be Lord Coe's assistants?

I'm told that is on hold and will be up to the new regime if they want to progress it, same with if they want to appoint Steve Coe

Can't say you weren't warned...

If the rumoured takeover goes thru they had better get on the phone to Alastair Campbell because it’s going to take a good PR man to put a positive spin on their aquisition.

What business is it of his as to when the new, completely unconnected, clean-break owners have their AGM?

So the club will be in debt until the debt has been re-paid, then the club will be debt free

Can you ask Ashley what, in his opinion, do Kenworthy and Chester bring to the table? It looks like the lot of 'em have been lined up to do one last job!

So, in no way, do you think there might have been a non-disclosure agreement or letter of confidentiality signed?

This is normal for dealings of this nature and I have never known otherwise.

Clearly, though, you consider every detail should be made public even before the deal has been completed.

I suggest you read Graham Smyth’s article as per the DT thread on the many questions raised. Very similar to those raised by those of a slightly more cynical nature than folk like yourself, who seem happy to wait for the propaganda to be issued by the owners of the club, rather than debate the various (nearly all negative) possibilities that could ensue.

I've raised my concerns, pointing out that a 78 year old CEO, Director of Football who hasn't worked in the game for 20 years and what appears to be the money man having a fake job doesn't look good, I gave my analogy that they are buying my Dog not my Car, but it's not led to a re-think

I've read Graham Smyth's article and like you, like me, like most others, we'd like to know what's going on, who's involved, will it be good or bad, will MA stay etc.

Nothing new in what Graham is saying in his article BUT he knows as well as anybody that a form of Confidentiality Agreement will have been signed so no information, of the type we all want to know, can be put into the public domain without the agreement of all parties concerned.

Graham, though, is spot on in that the situation needs resolving as early as possible.

Has Ashley confirmed why existing loan note holders were approached in respect to taking a further haircut to facilitate this 'takeover' when he has indicated to you 'they' are paying significantly more than £3M for the club?

As I have got you, has Ashley indicated who the money-man is because currently it is easier to identify which ones do not have a pot to piddle in.

Is it possible (clutching at straws here) that the money men behind it are the Chinese DA didn’t want to deal with and the ones ‘without a pot to pee in’ are simply a vehicle to get it passed DA?
